Tutoring

Our first priority is to build a relationship of trust with a young person, getting to know what they enjoy.

Depending on their past experiences in education, it can take time to foster a sense of felt safety. We take our time to come alongside a young person on their terms, learning from them in their areas of interest. We then use a strengths' based model where we build on a young person's existing talents and passion, gently exploring their learning goals and co-creating a learning journey which we embark on at their pace.

Because we are experienced teachers, we are able to identify opportunities for incidental learning through any activity and we can track informal progress across the national curriculum. If and when a young person indicates a desire to explore more formal learning, we can facilitate this in any subject area at primary or secondary level including Functional Skills and GSCE subjects.

We can cover exam revision skills and exam strategy as well as organisation and time management and can support access to exams.
