As an Arts Awards Centre we can support any young person on their creative journey. Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification that supports children and young people aged 7-25 to develop their creativity, leadership and confidence through the arts. It is available at different levels, making it accessible from beginners through to those preparing for further education or careers in creative industries.
Arts Award is designed to be inclusive, flexible and practical, recognising young people’s achievements in real-world creative activities.
Through Arts Award, young people:
Take part in creative activities (such as art, music, drama, design, digital or creative technology)
Explore artists, creators and creative careers
Develop and share their own creative work
Plan and lead arts activities for others (at higher levels)
Reflect on their learning and achievements
Work is recorded in a portfolio, helping learners recognise and evidence their progress. Arts Award supports the development of a wide range of transferable skills that are valued in education, employment and life, including:
Creativity and self-expression
Communication and presentation skills
Problem solving and independent thinking
Planning, organisation and time management
Teamwork and leadership
Confidence and resilience
Arts Award helps young people explore and understand:
