Our years of experience across a range of ages, as well as our own lived experiences of neurodiversity, give us empathy and an appreciation for the challenges faced by families and young people who do not thrive in the typical models of education and employment.
We have seen young people move through our service to reach adulthood and have developed a framework to support a young person through the process of self-knowledge, self-awareness, self-care, self-advocacy and self actualisation. Please see our approach for more information.
If appropriate we can explore strategies to enable young people to manage overwhelm and to self-regulate in order to thrive and live their best lives.
The Decider Skills (CBT and DBT ) can be used in an adapted and creative way. https://thedecider.org.uk/
Mentoring and coaching form part of all of our work, however we can also offer specific 1:1 mentoring for young people to talk about what a diagnosis of Autism means for them and how to embrace their strengths and manage their difficulties.
