Clubs

Due to sensory differences, past trauma and anxiety, many young people are not able to access typical interest clubs or activities involving groups. For some, their bedrooms or homes are the only places they feel safe.

At our base in Hatton, we have a relaxed and homely enviroment and a growing bank of resources that allow us to offer a range of activities in a space that can be booked entirely for the sole use of the young person and their family. We can work with families around sensory profiles to adapt the enviroment where possible.

Parents are able to book a two hour slot on selected evenings, weekends and school holidays, choosing which activity they would like set out. Our host/s will be on hand to guide and facilitate as much as needed.

GraviTrax club

GraviTrax is an innovative, hands-on construction system by Ravensburg where people of all ages design and build their own marble runs. Using a variety of magnetic tiles, tracks, curves and special elements, they create pathways that let a marble travel using gravity, speed and momentum. Every build is different, and there’s always a new challenge to solve.

GraviTrax is closely linked to science, engineering and coding concepts. As people experiment, they explore real STEM principles such as gravity, force, energy, acceleration and cause-and-effect. Planning a successful run mirrors the logic of coding: testing ideas, spotting errors, debugging problems and improving designs step by step.

Through collaborative builds, GraviTrax also promotes a wide range of essential skills, including problem solving, critical thinking, creativity and resilience. Working in teams encourages communication, cooperation and shared decision-making, making it an engaging and social way to learn while having fun.
Arts & Crafts Club

We have a wide range of materials as well as examples and kits to cater for any level of experience.  We believe in the therapeutic value of creativity as a fun activity and as an Arts Awards Centre we can guide young people to build a portfolio to work towards Discover, Explore, Bronze or Silver awards if they are interested.
